Mt. Bachelor Ski Area was founded on December 19, 1958, with a rope tow and a single lift. It has since grown to be one of the largest ski resorts in the U.S. with more than 4,300 acres of skiable terrain including 360 degrees of slopes from the top of the mountain, a stratovolcano. The resort also offers excellent Nordic skiing, mid-mountain dinners, and a summertime network of downhill mountain biking, hiking, and zip-lining.
