Advisory Council

The Advisory Council plays a crucial role in shaping the distribution of grant funding from the Bend Sustainability Fund. Comprising community members with diverse backgrounds, skills, and industry experiences, the council is integral to the fund’s decision-making process.

Members of the Bend Sustainability Advisory Council:

  • Represent our community by bringing perspectives from the tourism industry, outdoor and recreation community, and spanning a range of ages, user groups, and backgrounds.
  • Share a common appreciation for our local environment and are committed to being stewards of the places that sustain us.
  • Provide valuable insights and feedback on grant applications, playing a pivotal role in determining the allocation of BSF funding.

Time Commitment:

Council members volunteer their time, participating in 1-2 virtual meetings, 1-2 in-person meetings, and online reviews of all qualified applications. The majority of the time commitment occurs in October, with meetings throughout the year.
